assault on a temple university employee. (kevin steele/montgomery co., pa, district attorney-elect) "mr. cosby is charged with aggravated indecent assault." over the past several months, more than 50 women have accused cosby of sexual abuse, some dating back decades. this is the first time he's been charged. today's charges stem from the victim's account of the incident, which was similar to those of other accusers. (kevin steele/montgomery co., pa, district attorney-elect) "on the evening in question, he urged her to take pills he provided and to drink wine, the effect of which rendered her unable to move or respond." cosby has always denied the accusations, and refused to speak about them. stabbing this morning. officers responded to the shelter island apartments near swenson and twain... at about 1 a-m. investigators say a woman's ex-boyfriend was arguing with another man over her.. when the ex stabbed that man. he was taken to the hospital where he later died. 8 news now was the only crew to speak with detectives on scene: ((lt. dan mcgrath, metro police: a witness and a security guard chased the person who did the stabbing, then he was taken into custody over at katie and cambridge, where we think we have recovered the knife . )) ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) investigators have not identified any of the people involved. they say the woman is being considered a witness at the moment./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > a motorcyclist is dead after colliding with two cars overnight. it happened last night near jones and smoke ranch... police say the rider was thrown into the road when he hit a car... then was hit by a second car. the rider died at the scene... despite wearing a helmet. both drivers stayed on scene and didn't appear to be under the

anna werner is in missouri... to show us how one community is responding in a positive way. > new evacuations this morning near st. louis. people in the town of valley park have been told to leave their homes. as the mississippi river threatens saint louis county: it took teamwork to fill 20-thousand sandbags. officials pleaded for help and the community responded: "just like the movie field of dreams. if you build it--they'll come." the army corps of engineers is monitoring 19 vulnerable levees on the rising mississippi river and its tributaries. in the shadow of saint louis' majestic gateway arch... during the city's wettest year... the 'mighty mississippi' is expected to crest at over 43 feet, close to its second highest level ever. missouri governor jay nixon: (gov. jay nixon/d- missouri) "water levels in some areas expected to exceed the historic crest during the great flood of 1993." this

1993... when the river crested 22 feet above flood stage. nine states saw flooding, 50 people died... nearly 150 major rivers and tributaries were affected. in union, missouri-- water crept up over porch steps as rescue boats skipped by. cindy nations claims her home isn't prone to flooding. "they would not sell me flood insurance, so i've never been concerned about it." ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > protestors in chicago have taken their case straight to home of mayor rahm emanuel. protestors shouted "c-p-d! k-k-k! how many kids did you kill today?" this comes after a 19- year-old man and a 55-year- old woman were shot and killed by police saturday. a vigil for the two was held earlier in the day. the mayor was not seen in public tuesday night... but lights were on at his house. emanuel is planning to speak to reporters about the shooting today./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > a priest in the philippines is facing the music... after riding a hoverboard during a christmas eve service. he used the toy to glide in and out of rows of chrchgoers... singing and trying to energize the crowd...
